Lan Handling Technologies is hiring a Project Buyer to manage procurement for several projects, collaborating with project teams, suppliers, and QA to keep the supply chain on track and within budget. You’ll attend project meetings, review supply risks with builders, scan the order book for bottlenecks, and negotiate with suppliers. In the afternoon you’ll work with the Supplier Quality Engineer to address rejects and prepare bottleneck analyses before releasing orders to our strategic partner. Requirements: a Bachelor or Master in SCM or Logistics, 1-2 years in buying or related roles, strong English and/or Dutch, and a growth mindset with proven supplier relationships. Apply by tailoring your CV to highlight project procurement, risk mitigation, and on-time releases, and show collaboration with QA and PM teams.
Ready to tackle some challenges? You start your day by gaining a good overview of the progress in your various projects. You have two meetings scheduled with two project teams for which you pro-actively prepare to address any obstacles hindering progress. Clear communication is key when discussing project statuses and for defining strategy the way forward.
Following the meetings, you connect with module builders to assess supply chain risks over the next two months. A quick scan of the order book highlights potential obstacles for the week ahead, encouraging you to approach bottlenecks suppliers for special arrangements.
In the afternoon, you sit for your weekly review with the Supplier Quality Engineer, addressing rejects and inspection findings to secure the supply chain. Preparing for the bottleneck analysis of Project X, you ensure efficiency for tomorrow’s meeting with the responsible Project Manager.
Before leaving for the day, you follow up on quotation requests, evaluating bids against budget constraints. After achieving alignment with project parameters, you collect necessary approvals and proceed to release orders to your strategic partner. Satisfied with your day’s accomplishments, you are looking forward to tackling tomorrow’s challenges.
How you get things moving:
A completely new supermarket experience. Huh, what?! Really.
Once you start working at Lan Handling, shopping will never be the same again. From that day on, you will turn over all the pouches, cans and jars you see.
You’ll find yourself always checking: yes! we also handle this product with our machines! But that’s not all of course:
