Responsible for providing financial support and performance analysis to the global/regional operations and plant management teams. The role requires an exceptional business partner to drive organizational success through the development and execution of financial strategies.

Your main tasks:

• Calculation of production alternatives with regard to design, method, and production location for EMIA Automotive product projects
• Cost calculation in the early phase of new RFQs using a Should Costing approach through appropriate input from Operations and Purchasing, as well as in all further phases according to the product development process (Concept, Design, Industrialization)
• Conducting capital analyses for projects regarding ROI, Payback, Operating Income, and Break Even Point (Full Product P&L) including visual Cost Break Downs / Cost Controlling
• Support in evaluating lifetime business cases during all project phases; optimization of cost cycles in collaboration with key business partners such as Sales, Product Engineering, Product Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Plant Controlling
• Support/introduction of new cross-site cost methods for new product families and technologies at individual production sites within the framework of Target Cost activities
• Conducting continuous cost and value driver analyses as well as implementation of Target Costing
• Proactive participation in interdisciplinary functional/core teams & Project Finance Initiatives

Your ideal background:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in industrial engineering or business administration
• Relevant work experience in finance and production in the automotive industry Good understanding of the impact of process changes on financial performance (7 years+)
• Ideally knowledge of thermoplastic injection molding, stamping, assembly processes, as well as machined parts & electronics
• Extensive experience in the quotation process for Tier 1 Business and direct OEM Business
• Broad understanding of manufacturing technologies to achieve fast bid calculations with appropriate costing models
• Confident appearance and persuasiveness
• High affinity for value driver analysis
• Many years of experience in costing for customer RRQ (quotation calculation)
• Tier 1 experience towards OEM's an advantage
• Patience, perseverance and passion for cost reduction
• Experienced with SAP & FACTON, good MS Excel skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills - verbal & written - in German and Englis
