Position Overview

The Project Engineer will assist Project Managers, Estimators, Superintendents and Construction Manager with the administration of Interstate Concrete & Asphalt’s construction work.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Prepare and submit permit applications.
  • Prepare project submittals.
  • Help prepare subcontracts and purchase offers.
  • Maintain project files.
  • Assist field superintendents and surveyors.
  • Work with construction crews.
  • Track and maintain project quantities.
  • Help Project Managers/Superintendents/Estimators as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
  • Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Proficient with Windows based computerized systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance and attendance.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
  • Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.
  • Must pass pre-employment-controlled substance testing.

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or equivalent degree preferred
  • Previous relatable experience preferred.
