UL Solutions seeks a Project Engineer with an electronics background to join the AHL division in Dubai. You will define project scope, evaluate products, draft test plans, determine sample requirements, and coordinate with clients and lab staff. The role requires independent scoping and scheduling, clear progress updates, and occasional travel to client sites to witness tests. A degree in Energy, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is required; English fluency is essential. Knowledge of HVAC/R and reading electrical schematics matters, with AHRI energy efficiency protocols a plus. Travel up to 30 percent is expected. We are looking for an Project Engineer (m/f/i) with electronics background to join our team based in Dubai/UAE.  

  • Independently determines project scope, performs product evaluation, drafts testplan and define samples requirements by analyzing client request and standard’s requirements.

  • Autonomously determines project’s effort and time scheduling.

  • Communicates with clients to share scheduling progresses, explain UL procedures and requirements, discuss technical issues.

  • Interacts with laboratory activities by preparing testing documentation and instructions to lab technicians. 

  • Provides technical assistance to laboratory and/or field staff. 

  • Proposes development of new and/or revised UL requirements. 

  • Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites.  

  • University Degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electronical Engineering.
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of HVAC-R products
  • Knowledge of Energy Efficiency test protocols (e.g. AHRI) for HVAC products is a plus
  • Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline (HVAC/R).
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and electrotechnical principles
  • Ability to successfully partner with Engineering and other Laboratory Personnel to complete projects in a timely manner with high quality.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with international customers and colleagues. 
  • Availability to travel to visit our customers units (30% of your time).
