The role of the Project Lead / Manager (based in Farnborough, Hampshire) will take a leading role in driving complex, large-scale change initiatives that empower the business to achieve its strategic goals and targets. You will be part of the project team who will continue to develop and enhance products / applications, delivering capabilities across the financial sale journey for both B2B and B2C. The role will be leading a diverse IT team alongside service providers and vendors, collaborating closely with stakeholders across multiple departments—both within IT and the broader business (market and central)—you will ensure successful delivery of change and then introduce operational stability for the implemented solution.

  • Support complex, large-scale change initiative to enable business strategy and achieve targets.
  • Support vendor selection and management to deliver products and services effectively
  • Lead a diverse IT team, service providers, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across IT and business to ensure successful delivery and ongoing operational stability.
  • Inspire and align teams by understanding business needs and priorities.
  • Help define vision and roadmap to motivate IT resources and deliver the project within Service Level Agreements.
  • Communicate confidently at all levels, from technical teams to senior management and directors.
  • Maintain broad networks with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external suppliers.
  • Ensure high-quality IT service delivery through standardized agile processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Implement a stable system into operations with timely incident resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with local and central IT teams and manage supplier relationships to optimize IT services.

 

What You Should Bring

 

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in Application Project Management within the automotive finance sector.
  • Experience in leading IT change initiatives and ensuring operational excellence in mission-critical systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing application development teams using agile and DevOps frameworks.
  • Strong background in the Financial Services industry or similar complex environments.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with IT teams, stakeholders, and suppliers to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Experience working within complex system landscapes and diverse technology platforms.
  • Formal training or qualifications in project management, leadership, agile, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Certifications such as Portfolio, MSP, Agile, and DevOps are desirable.
  • A visionary and adaptable approach to driving innovation and change.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
