Job Summary

As part of the creation of a new Project Management team within Operations, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a variety of initiatives. These will range from product-related technical projects—such as new product introduction and industrialization or maintenance—to quality improvement, process optimization, and continuous improvement projects. The Project Manager may also be involved in corporate or cross-functional initiatives aimed at supporting the company's growth.

Reporting to the Operations Project Portfolio Manager, you will play a key role in delivering complex, high-impact projects in close collaboration with R&D, Quality, Production, Strategic Sourcing, and Continuous Improvement teams.

We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven individual with strong influencing skills and a proven track record in project management within a manufacturing environment—ideally in the electronics sector.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

The Project Manager will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, except for NPI projects, for which they will specifically oversee the industrialization phase.

  • Define project objectives, scope, and structure in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans and manage schedules, milestones, and cost tracking.
  • Coordinate the execution of tasks with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Production, etc.).
  • Set up and facilitate project governance meetings: project reviews, status updates, and coordination checkpoints.
  • Foster effective cross-functional collaboration and create a results-oriented team dynamic.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each project.
  • Manage scope changes, prioritize tasks, and proactively address risks and roadblocks.
  • Provide regular project status reports to the Portfolio Manager, including progress updates, deviations, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Capture and document lessons learned at the end of each project for future improvements.

For New Product Introduction (NPI) projects:

  • Ensure strong collaboration across R&D, Production, Quality, and Procurement.
  • Participate in design reviews and lead the industrialization phase through to production launch.
  • Validate manufacturing methods and tools, and ensure readiness for production.
  • Drive FMEA analysis for manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Ensure process stability in production and supply chain, and meet quality expectations until the project is handed over to mass production.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

  • University degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
  • 5–7 years of project management experience, including significant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within cross-functional teams
  • Strong planning, coordination, and project execution skills
  • Ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders around shared goals
  • High results and quality orientation, with the ability to deliver efficiently under pressure
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Azure DevOps, or equivalent)
  • Bilingual French and English: To serve clients and external service providers across Canada and USA

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent certification
  • Knowledge of industrialization processes for electronic products
  • Experience working in fast-growing or transformation-focused production environments
  • Familiarity with new product development processes
  • Experience in certified environments (ISO, LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.)
