Corrective Services NSW is seeking a Psychologist or Specialist Psychologist to join Wellington and Macquarie Correctional Centres in regional NSW. This ongoing onsite, full-time or part-time job-share opportunity offers salaries of $83,898–$118,318 (Psychologist) or $120,464–$139,824 (Specialist), plus environmental allowance, staff super and annual leave loading. You’ll conduct psychological assessments, criminogenic risk evaluations and deliver evidence-based interventions, collaborating with custodial staff and case managers to support rehabilitation and safer communities. Specialist applicants may provide clinical leadership and must meet Crown Employees Psychologists Award criteria. What you’ll do
Every day, you'll use your clinical expertise to support rehabilitation, reduce reoffending and contribute to safer communities. You'll conduct psychological assessments, criminogenic risk evaluations and evidence-based interventions while providing expert advice on complex mental health, behavioural and risk-related matters.
Working collaboratively with custodial staff, case managers and other professionals, you'll help develop effective case plans and behaviour management strategies. Your assessments, reports and recommendations will inform rehabilitation outcomes and key decision-making.
For Specialist Psychologists, opportunities exist to provide clinical leadership, mentor colleagues and contribute to best-practice psychological services.
