About the Role

Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking a Purchasing Clerk (Intern) to join our team at the Terus Head Office in Surrey, British Columbia.

 

This 6-month internship, with the possibility of extension, offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic Purchasing team. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the Purchasing team, Head Office staff, and operations personnel to support day-to-day procurement activities.

Main Responsibilities

•    Assist Purchasers with administrative and day-to-day purchasing support tasks.
•    Support invoice processing, tracking, and filing activities.
•    Maintain purchasing records and ensure documentation is accurate and organized.
•    Assist with purchase order administration and data entry.
•    Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding purchasing-related inquiries.
•    Provide general administrative support to the Purchasing team as required.

Qualifications/Experience

•    Current student or recent graduate, preferably pursuing or holding a degree or diploma in Business Administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Customer service oriented with a positive and collaborative approach.
•    Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn.
•    Previous purchasing experience is considered an asset.
•    Experience with OnBase is considered an asset.

 

The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $25-26 CAD per hour.  The final compensation package will be determined based on factors including the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
