Job Description
Job Summary
- Contribute to the improvement of the site quality by handling quality issues on the site in general according to the corporate and project quality standards
- Responsible for planning quality activities in given particular discipline in accordance with quality management system established by QC Manager.
- Planning, controlling and performing inspections and tests on discipline responsible and managing inspectors in the disciplines for which they are responsible
Roles and Responsibilities
- Establishing Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and ITP Matrix for Inspector to control the Inspection Work
- Distributing task to inspectors in charge of the discipline
- Implementing the Quality Training to Construction & Quality Staffs
- Promoting Risk Management System in Construction and suggesting countermeasures
- Ensuring to apply lessons learnt and proper preventive action conducted
- Setting and applying practical work process
- Preparing Quality Procedure/ITP, Review Construction Procedure/Method Statement
- Establishing Quality Performance Indicator and managing actual result
- Co-ordinating and monitoring with other discipline required to provide corrective action
- Liaising and solving with clients on Quality related matters such as Quality Issue and NCR, Observation
- Managing work activity through system management tool (FMCS, SCMS)
- Identifying and mitigate quality risks
- Conducting audits and inspections
- Assembling cost control and statistical data in support of quality objectives, as needed

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field
Experience
- 15+ years of direct work experience in inspection of capital projects quality
- Familiarity with project specifications and standards, and medium to large-sized project experience
- Experience in oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants
- Engineering & Construction Company working experience in GCC
Knowledge or Certification
- Certification in NDT Level II or higher
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification
Technical and Behavioral Competency
- Expert knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Advanced inspection techniques and tools, material testing methods, and documentation
- Understanding of project management principles.
- Expertise in establishing process and system to utilize FMCS and SCMS
- Leadership and management skills
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Discipline knowledge and experience in Substations, switchgear rooms, control rooms, motor control centres.
