In this role you will perform welding and structural inspections during fabrication, assembly and installation, verify compliance with approved WPS, ITPs, drawings and project specifications, monitor and witness NDT activities and coordinate with NDT contractors, and ensure fabrication activities comply with international codes and standards such as AWS D1.1, ASME and EEMUA 158, including offshore topside and jacket fabrication. Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years total experience with 5+ years post-CSWIP, CSWIP 3.1/3.2, and proven offshore topside and jacket fabrication. Job Description

  • Perform welding and structural inspections during fabrication, assembly, and installation activities

  • Verify compliance with approved WPS, ITPs, drawings, and project specifications

  • Monitor and witness NDT activities and ensure proper coordination with NDT contractors

  • Ensure fabrication activities comply with international codes and standards (AWS D1.1, ASME, EEMUA 158)

  • Conduct inspections for offshore topside and jacket fabrication, including fit-up, welding, and dimensional checks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

  • 10+ years total experience, including 5+ years post-CSWIP

  • Proven experience in offshore topside & jacket fabrication

  • CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 Certificates (mandatory)

  • Strong knowledge of welding inspection, structural fabrication & NDT coordination

  • Familiar with offshore codes and standards (AWS D1.1, EEMUA 158, ASME)
