Mapbox is seeking a Quality Compliance Program Manager to own ISO 9001 and SOC2, lead ASPICE SPICE programs, and unify quality and compliance across the company. The Quality and Compliance team establishes, maintains, and continuously improves the process landscape across Mapbox, ensuring alignment with critical industry quality and process standards, including ISO 9001, IATF, VDA TISAX, and ASPICE/SPICE. Our core mandate is the systematic oversight of quality assurance across engineering and product development. This function maintains a keen focus on achieving process excellence and executing activities such as ASPICE SUP.1 (Software Quality Assurance) to formally verify rigorous compliance with defined organizational standards and stringent customer requirements. We provide expert advisory and support to development teams to foster a high-quality, secure, and privacy-compliant location platform. Furthermore, the team is responsible for planning, conducting, and supporting internal and external audits and assessments, ensuring that our compliance certifications are maintained and our quality processes are robustly validated.

As a member of our diverse and globally distributed team, you’ll play an advisory role across the whole company. You will help Mapbox to align and comply with quality standards, covering ISO 9001, IATF, VDA, and ASPICE/SPICE requirements. You will have the opportunity to work directly with our largest automotive customers to ensure that we have the appropriate quality measures for the products and services that we deliver to millions of drivers around the world. These measures are reflected in our compliance certifications, and other audit and assessment programs directly with our customers.
Own ISO 9001 and SOC2 compliance certification
Own ASPICE/SPICE requirements internally, consulting on implementation across the company.
Own a database of relevant process compliance commitments made.
Program manage the implementation of those commitments across different parts of the company (across Mapbox)
Escalate as needed to drive executive alignment on the ways we will meet OEM expectations.
Provide first level responses on RFQs as they relate to Quality, describing our company’s technical function.
Prepare documentation/materials describing our process for various audit/submittal processes run by OEMs.
Prepare for, prepare the team for, and attend in-person audits, representing Mapbox.
Experience with ISO 9001, ASPICE, SPICE, SOC2 and TISAX compliance standards
5 years of experience in a quality compliance related role
Experience implementing Quality & Compliance standards in an engineering-centric organization.
Clear and persuasive communication of complex and critical information to a broad audience.
Subject matter expertise in quality best practices and the ability to quickly make correct risk assessments that prioritize the overall benefit to the company.
A desire to share your expertise through documentation, mentorship, and both written and vocal discussion.
A personal drive to expand your comfort zone by exploring new and/or unfamiliar tasks and domains.

Bachelor’s degree, with a technical emphasis a plus
