Merck Group is hiring a Quality Control Scientist to join MilliporeSigma in St. Louis, MO onsite. You Role:
- Perform quality operations by scheduling, setting up, and testing products (with and without established protocols), ensuring product quality and quantity throughout the testing process, and confirming proper training before performing assigned tasks.
- Maintain a safe and compliant lab environment by cleaning equipment and work areas after operations, coordinating waste disposal with Environmental Services personnel, and completing required compliance documentation.
- Communicate and document the status of processes, tests, equipment, and overall lab operations, promptly escalating any deviations to the supervisor.
- Prepare complete and accurate documentation at the conclusion of testing in accordance with quality guidelines, including recording deviations and ensuring all required logbooks are properly completed.
- Write, modify, and review analytical and test procedures to ensure alignment with current quality guidelines and Quality Control practices.
- Apply scientific knowledge to independently investigate technical issues, identify and implement process improvements, and make sound decisions based on experience and expertise.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by following procedures and safety policies, resolving unsafe conditions, and ensuring good housekeeping in laboratory and work areas.
- Support team and organizational goals by assisting with training, providing technical guidance to coworkers, representing the department on cross-functional teams, and supporting audits as needed.
Physical Attributes:
- Position requires safe work with open chemicals and may require wearing of appropriate PPE (including respirator).
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Life Science discipline.
- 5+ years of lab experience.

- Demonstrated experience of PC Operations.
- Proficient in Laboratory Math Skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.

- Extensive knowledge of analytical techniques and instrumentation.

RSREMD
- Pay Range for this position: $60,900.00-$91,300.00.
- The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
