What you’ll be doing

  • Driving a zero-defect culture by reducing non-conformance through robust root cause analysis (RCCA, 5 Whys, DMAIC, 8D and Six Sigma), resolving multi-layered quality issues, and collaborating closely with customers and suppliers to ensure effective deployment of the zero-defect escape prevention strategy
  • Ensuring operational compliance to specifications & quality standards e.g. EN/AS 9100
  • Undertaking the identification and implementation of quality improvement activities agreed within the business area
  • Undertaking reviews and reporting on the efficiency and effectiveness of quality practices across the business area
  • Demonstrate a structured, logical approach to problem-solving while building good relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels to ensure robust Quality practices are consistently applied and upheld

Your skills and experiences

Essential

  • Quality or Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Good analytical, problem solving skills with a challenge mindset
  • Ample understanding of manufacturing processes, including accurate interpretation of technical drawings and documentation, hands-on inspection techniques, and practical shopfloor leadership experience at manager level or equivalent

Desirable

  • Understanding of Geometrical Dimensional & Tolerancing with an experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of using shop floor toolsets such as SFM/SAPCAMS, EDSRS, Visview
  • Experience dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 rev D

The Quality Control – FalconWorks Team

Would you like to be part of the world’s largest defence programme, working on some of the most advanced manufacturing processes in the aerospace industry? We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Controller based at our Warton site working in the manufacturing environment within the FalconWorks business.

As a Quality Controller you will be delivering a broad range of planned quality activities designed to provide assurance to management that quality practices are being effectively deployed across the business area. You will be working to create future products, using new technics and technology to move the business forward at pace whilst maintaining high Quality standards.

This will involve working closely with our Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that the products we manufacture meet customer and regulatory requirements. Ensuring Quality Standards are maintained to the satisfaction of internal and external Customers. Undertake review and reporting on the efficiency and effectiveness of quality practices across the business area .Provide guidance, advice and support on all quality related matters.
