ALTEN is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Birmingham energy team, leading the Quality Management System for pumping systems, electrical installations, control and instrumentation, and WIMES compliant equipment. You will ensure testing, inspection and acceptance criteria meet Scope/Works Information, NEC3 Section 4 and WIMES specs and are fully evidenced for Completion and Takeover. Key duties include ISO 9001 QMS, PQMPs, ITPs, NCRs and CAPA, audits, supplier QA, FAT/SAT and continuous improvement. Requirements: Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree or equivalent military experience, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, NEC3 accreditation, MEICA and WIMES knowledge, BPSS clearance, CSCS/SMSTS. In your application, share concrete QA wins, cross‑functional collaboration, and readiness for hybrid site work and security clearance.

As a Quality Engineer, you will join our Birmingham team to support our activities within the Energy sector.
You will lead and assure the Quality Management System (QMS) for projects involving mechanical pumping systems, electrical installations, control & instrumentation, and WIMES-compliant equipment.
You will play a critical role in ensuring that all testing, inspection, and acceptance criteria required by the Scope/Works Information, NEC3 Section 4, and WIMES specifications are met and fully evidenced for Completion and Takeover.
