FORVIA is seeking a year‑round Quality Intern at its Auburn Hills, Michigan headquarters to support the TCS Director in documenting and tracking actions to improve customer scorecards. You will learn the full spectrum of automotive seat engineering and manufacturing, systematically review scorecards for OEMs and Tier suppliers, prepare KPI summaries, conduct Pareto analyses to pinpoint the top offenders, and propose systemic actions with weekly status updates. Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field, have any quality exposure, strong data analysis and MS Office skills, and English fluency with Spanish a plus. Highlight seat design knowledge, effective communication, ethics, a 2.8+ GPA, onsite availability, and metrics‑driven resume examples.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

 

Overall responsibilities and duties:

 

Assist the TCS Director to document and follow actions to improve Division/Plants Customer Scorecards.

Be systematically trained with full spectrum of engineering and manufacturing of automotive seats.

 

 

The main missions of the role are:

 

  • Review Systematically the customer score cards (OEMs and T1,T2).
  • Prepare summary of each scorecard considering customer KPIs.
  • Breaking down Division/Plant most offenders’ plants. (Paretos of Paretos)
  • For each plant, prepare systemic actions for continuous improvement.
  • Report out weekly status and performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications:

 

Minimum education level: Preparing a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

 

Experience:

 

  • First experience in Quality is a plus

 

Skills & Competencies:

 

  • Bilingual English and Spanish at plus, since interaction with other countries is required.
  • Efficient data analysis and computer skills are must: extensive knowledge of Microsoft package and data processing tools, i.e. Excel, Word etc.
  • Efficient communication and documents organization skills are must.
  • Knowledge of product design and production methods of both seats complete (JIT) and frame is preferred
  • Background in seat supply base commodities, product and processes
  • Capacity to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management, engineers, as well customers.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Forvia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
  • Minimum 2.8 GPA
