Webasto is hiring a Quality Technician in Detroit, MI, full-time onsite, to embed quality in battery production. You will perform in-process tests, act as the direct contact for production, conduct quality inspections per test plans, and release products and processes for initial inspections. You will audit battery systems, prepare documentation for product audits, and evaluate results, initiating corrective actions for deviations. You’ll be part of the Quality team in battery production, solving problems by analyzing products and processes. Ideal candidates have technical training with quality experience, proficiency in MS Office, SAP Q modules a plus, and a proactive, reliable, team-oriented mindset with shift availability. You can look forward to these exciting tasks:

 

  • Responsibility for carrying out all in-process tests in production for our battery systems and are the direct contact person for production
  • You will independently carry out quality inspections according to test plans and release products and processes for production as part of initial part inspections
  • You audit complete battery systems and prepare the documentation for the product audit
  • You evaluate test results against specifications and initiate measures in the event of deviations 
  • You are assigned to the Quality department, are a team member in battery production and help solve problems by analyzing products and processes and contributing your professional knowledge


This is what you bring to us :

 

  • You have a technical professional training, ideally with relevant professional experience in quality.
  • You are confident in using MS Office tools, initial experience with SAP (Q modules) would be desirable.
  • You have learned to approach problems responsibly, on your own initiative, in a structured and careful manner.
  • High reliability, ability to work under pressure and as a team player
  • Readiness for shift work
