Your Role:

The R&D Technician will play a crucial role in supporting research and development activities within the Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP) Lab.  Job duties include:

  • Operate and maintain AMAT CMP polishers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct experiments and assist in the development of CMP processes for semiconductor applications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CMP equipment.
  • Utilize thin film metrology systems to analyze and characterize thin films, ensuring quality control and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with R&D engineers and scientists to develop new polishing techniques and improve existing processes.
  • Document experimental results and maintain accurate records of laboratory activities.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a hazard free environment.

 

Who you Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 + of experience working in a semiconductor cleanroom environment

                                                  OR

  • Associate's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Engineering
  • 2 + years of experience working in a semiconductor cleanroom environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Engineering
  • Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication processes and materials.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
  • Proficient in operating AMAT CMP polishers.
  • Experience with thin film metrology systems (e.g., ellipsometry, reflectometry, 4-point probe).
  • Proficiency with MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail, effective communication abilities (both written and verbal), and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.

Pay Range for this position:  $100,100.00 - $150,100.00.

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
