About the role

 

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for commercial transformation? Join our Range & Space team as we shape the future of how customers shop and how our business delivers value.

 

In this role, you’ll help define and execute the strategy that underpins tailored ranging, improved customer experience, and operational excellence across our network.

 

As our Range & Space Transformation & Delivery Manager, you'll lead the development of frameworks, insights, and transformation programs that guide how we optimise space, simplify our offering, and create better commercial outcomes. Working cross-functionally with teams across Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain and Store Operations, you’ll turn insight into action and strategy into tangible impact.

 

You’ll also:

  • Lead the development and refinement of our range and space strategy aligned to key commercial priorities
  • Design frameworks for range simplification, optimisation and strategic planning
  • Analyse retail trends, customer behaviour, and key performance metrics to inform decision-making
  • Drive major transformation initiatives, ensuring cross-functional engagement and smooth delivery
  • Manage project governance, planning and resourcing for strategic programs
  • Embed new tools, processes and ways of working across the Range & Space team
  • Support capability uplift across insight generation, strategic planning and structured thinking
  • Champion continuous improvement and an insight-led, high-performance culture

 

 

About you and your skills

 

You’re a commercially minded problem solver who thrives in complex environments and has a passion for data-led strategy. You blend analytical strength with strong communication and stakeholder skills, and you’re energised by the opportunity to deliver change at scale. You’re equally comfortable shaping strategic frameworks as you are rolling up your sleeves to deliver projects hands‑on.

 

You will also ideally bring:

  • Proven experience in retail, FMCG, consulting, transformation, or a related commercial field
  • Strong exposure to merchandising, category management, or space planning
  • Proven experience developing strategy and/or delivering transformation programs in complex organisations
  • Demonstrated capability in insights generation and analysis using diverse data sources
  • Familiarity with customer segmentation, store clustering, and tailored ranging concepts
  • Experience leading or supporting large-scale business projects (> $5m benefit/cost)
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving and communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge, innovate and inspire change
