Rapid Response Nurse at Tampa General Hospital is a full-time, on-site role at the TGH Main Campus in Tampa, FL, delivering life span nursing care from neonatal to geriatric and collaborating with the care team. You will plan and document assessments and intervene as needed. Requirements: Florida RN license, five years of nursing experience with at least two in critical care or emergency, BLS ACLS PALS on hire, and national certification in critical care or emergency nursing within one year. Under general supervision, following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, delivers nursing care to patients throughout the life span, neonatal through geriatric. Plans and implements nursing care; documents nursing assessments, identifies and reports situations requiring further intervention, formulates and communications goal directed plan of care; assures patient rights. Provides further nursing assessment and critical thinking to manage/intervene with patients presenting questionable or complex issues, or clinical deterioration in response to requests from direct care staff and medical staff, or from clinical concerns/observations during targeted rounds. Collaborates with all members of the healthcare team in regard to patient treatments, interventions and disposition according to existing policies and protocols. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital and principles of quality improvement.
