Job Description

Lumino Otaki & Waikanae are seeking a friendly and reliable Casual Receptionist to support across our two practices during busy periods, staff leave, and future locum coverage.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming patients and creating a warm, positive first impression
  • Answering phone enquiries and coordinating appointments
  • Managing general reception and administrative tasks
  • Providing support to the clinical team as required

From time to time, there may be an opportunity for the successful candidate to receive training as a Dental Assistant to help support the clinical team during particularly busy periods.

Qualifications

  • A warm, professional, and customer-focused approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Reliability and a willingness to learn
  • Confidence using computer systems (or openness to learning)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid NZ work rights and local availability
  • A valid NZ driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle (travel between Ōtaki and Waikanae is required)
