Job Description

Lumino Miramar is looking for a part-time Receptionist / Dental Assistant / Sterilisation Assistant to join our team.

In this varied role, you’ll support our clinicians, ensure smooth daily operations, and help create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

Dental Assisting

• Support clinicians during a range of dental procedures.
• Uphold best-practice standards and provide excellent patient care.

Sterilisation

• Follow correct protocols to sterilise equipment.
• Manage infection control and maintain a safe clinical environment.

Reception

• Be the first point of contact for patients, in person and by phone.
• Schedule and confirm appointments and manage patient recalls.
• Complete administrative tasks including payments, rescheduling, and banking.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.

Hours for this role: 

• Monday- 7.30am to 7.30pm 
• Tuesday- 8.30am to 5.30pm
• Thursday- 8.30am to 6pm

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Receptionist or Dental Assistant is preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in computer applications with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Warm and positive attitude with a team-oriented approach
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is beneficial
• Flexible and organised with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Have valid NZ work rights and based in New Zealand, preferrably in Wellington
