Arvida Group Limited has two roles in Christchurch: fixed-term maternity leave cover until early May 2027 (Sunday to Thursday, 32.5 hours per week) and a casual position. You will lead and guide the care team, ensure medical instructions are correctly followed, and deliver proactive, person-centred care within a resident-led model and the Attitude of Living Well. Essential: NZQA level 7, current practicing certificate, flexibility to cover different shifts, strong leadership, honesty, and excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills. Palliative Care, Dementia and InterRAI experience is preferred but not essential. Mō te tūranga | About the opportunity

At Arvida, our model of care is underpinned by our resident-led approach and Attitude of Living Well. Our Registered Nurses lead clinical excellence through assessments, planning, and delivery of care according to accepted nursing practices and standards

You will be responsible for leading, supervising, and guiding other members of the team, and ensuring medical instructions and procedures are correctly administered, documented, and monitored. Each day you will be providing a proactive and person-centric service by communicating with residents and family and participating in continuous improvement and quality initiatives. 

We have two roles available:

1. Fixed term maternity leave cover until early May 2027 (Sunday-Thursday, 32.5hours per week)

2. Casual 

Qualifications

To tatou kaitono pai | Our ideal candidate must have

• NZQA level 7 (e.g. bachelor's degree, graduate certificate, graduate diploma)
• A current practicing certificate
• Flexibility to pick up different shifts
• Team leadership skills
• Honesty and integrity
• Good customer service
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and problem solving skills
• Alignment with our values and purpose
• Experience in Palliative Care, Dementia, and InterRAI is preferred but not essential
