Summerset in Whangarei is seeking a part time Registered Nurse for night shifts from 11:00pm to 7:00am on a 2 days on, 4 days off pattern, with 3 weeks of paid onsite training starting 9 March 2026 ahead of the village opening. Job Description
As a Registered Nurse at our Whangarei village, you will be part of a team that provides quality aged care and creates the best most enjoyable lifestyle to our care centre residents. Our residents are often here for many years, and our approach to care is resident-directed. The ultimate focus is their quality of life.
Typical duties include:
- Managing residents’ everyday needs, from clinical to end-of-life care
- Creating and following long term care plans as well as clinical assessments
- Taking charge of the care centre on certain shifts and making appropriate clinical decisions
- Delivering planned nursing care and evaluate progress in partnership with the resident and their family to enhance their daily lives.
- Providing guidance and direction to the caregivers on shift
- Building trusted relationships with residents and their families
The shift pattern for this role is 2 days on, 4 days off, with night shift hours of 11:00pm – 7:00am.
3 weeks paid training commences onsite on the 9th March 2026 ahead of the care centre’s official opening.

Qualifications
As an experienced Registered Nurse, you will be seeking a rewarding role and feel motivated by enhancing residents’ lives.
