SEHA is seeking a full-time onsite Registered Nurse for the OR in Abu Dhabi. The role involves preparing and maintaining operating rooms, ensuring instrument readiness, maintaining a sterile field, assisting surgeons and anesthetists, scrub and circulating duties, monitoring patients, counts, medication administration, documentation, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth, safe surgeries in line with UAE standards. Requirements include a BSN, valid DOH/HAAD eligibility or license, 2-3 years ICU experience in a tertiary hospital, and BLS and ACLS certifications. • Prepare and maintain operating rooms for surgical procedures.
• Ensure availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection prevention and control protocols.
• Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures.
• Perform scrub nurse and circulating nurse duties as assigned.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery and report any changes in condition.
• Conduct instrument, sponge, and needle counts according to hospital policy.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Ensure accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth surgical operations.
• Handle surgical specimens according to hospital protocols.
• Respond promptly and effectively during emergencies in the operating room.
• Participate in patient safety initiatives, audits, and quality improvement activities.
• Educate patients and families regarding perioperative care when applicable.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, UAE healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Valid nursing license (DOH / HAAD eligibility or license preferred)
• Minimum 2–3 years ICU experience in a tertiary hospital
• Certifications required:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
