Advice for applicants

Lead with your nursing credentials and your registration status. Put your current AHPRA registration and your Bachelor of Nursing right at the top of your resume so the panel sees you meet the essential regulatory requirements first.

Show concrete evidence of your aged care knowledge and the AN‑ACC process. Include examples that demonstrate how you’ve applied aged care legislation and quality standards in real scenarios, and how AN‑ACC assessments informed care planning.

Highlight your coaching and teamwork experience. Share specific occasions where you guided, trained or mentored a personal care team and how your approach to conflict resolution helped maintain a calm, collaborative environment.

Come prepared to discuss development and compliance. A good question to ask is how Catholic Healthcare supports ongoing professional development and helps nurses stay aligned with Aged Care Quality Standards.
