This part-time 0.4 FTE Youth Health Nurse role at EACH sits within the headspace Youth Health Clinic, working across DiSS sites and headspace Narre Warren & Dandenong on the lands of the Bunurong People, in a multidisciplinary team that supports young people’s physical, mental and sexual health. You’ll provide clinical nursing care, conduct HEADDSS and mental state risk assessments, assist care coordination with GPs and youth services, deliver health education and follow-up, and maintain accurate documentation including HAPI surveys. What matters most is Division 1 AHPRA registration, proven youth health experience, strong risk assessment and engagement skills, and an unrestricted Victorian driver’s license; experience with diverse communities is a plus. About the program
This role sits within the Youth Health Clinic at headspace, delivering care through the Doctors in Secondary Schools (DiSS) program and GP youth clinics. These services provide young people with free, accessible primary health care - addressing common barriers such as cost, transport, and appointment availability.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the role works alongside GPs, nurses, school wellbeing teams, families, and headspace clinicians to support young people’s physical health, mental health, and sexual and reproductive health needs.
