This is a 0.80 FTE, days, in-person role that supports youth ages 6-18 with ADHD and related behavioral health needs in a community setting, within a multidisciplinary, trauma-informed framework with provincial scope. Key requirements include a degree from an approved psychiatric nursing program, active CRPNM or CRNM registration, and at least two years’ experience with children with ADHD or neurodevelopmental/behavioral disorders, plus knowledge of psychotropic meds and evidence-based interventions. Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
The Nurse will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide treatment services to children and their families who are referred to the ADHD Service at MATC. The clients in MATC ADHD Service range in age from 6-18 years, and have a wide range of behavioural, emotional and comorbid mental health concerns that impact their home, school and community environments. Services to this group are delivered in a community-based setting, utilizing bio-psychosocial models and systemic frameworks. MATC ADHD Service operates on a provincial level. The functions are undertaken consistent with the Manitoba Adolescent Treatment Centre’s established philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures and standards of Professional Practice and Code of Ethics outlined by the CPNAM and/or CRNM professional bodies.
