What you will do 

As our Regulatory & Compliance Legal Counsel, you play a key role in supporting Tony's legal and compliance agenda globally. You will help develop and maintain compliance frameworks, monitor regulatory developments, support data privacy initiatives and ensure our corporate governance foundations remain strong as we continue to grow.

You combine legal expertise with excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills. You enjoy translating complex legal requirements into practical solutions and helping colleagues understand not only what compliance means, but why it matters.

Working closely with Legal, Sustainability, Operations, Commercial teams and external advisors, you will proactively identify risks, provide practical guidance and support the business in navigating an evolving regulatory environment. Over time, you will become a trusted advisor across Tony's, helping shape our compliance culture and ensuring that legal and regulatory considerations are embedded into the way we operate.

  • Support the development and implementation of Tony's global compliance framework, helping ensure compliance with evolving regulations across our markets.

  • Monitor and support compliance with ESG legislation, packaging and waste regulations, advertising requirements, competition law and other relevant regulatory frameworks.

  • Maintain and improve GDPR compliance by managing documentation, supporting privacy initiatives and coordinating data protection processes.

  • Conduct legal research and translate regulatory developments into practical advice, guidance and actions for the business.

  • Support corporate governance activities, including company housekeeping, board resolutions and intra-group agreements.

  • Manage Tony's corporate insurance portfolio, oversee insurance claims processes and ensure contractual alignment with insurance requirements.

  • Develop and deliver legal awareness and compliance training, helping create a strong culture of compliance across the business.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors on regulatory projects and business-critical compliance initiatives.


Requirements

Our new flavor

  • Around 4-6 years of experience as a qualified Dutch lawyer and/or in-house legal counsel.

  • Strong experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance and governance matters.

  • A law degree and currently living in the Netherlands.

  • Excellent drafting, communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Able to see the bigger picture and balance legal risk with commercial objectives.

  • Curious, adaptable and eager to learn new areas of law and regulation.

  • Well-organized, proactive and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
