As a Relationship Associate in our Business Division, you’ll be responsible for supporting a group of Relationship Managers (RM) in making banking easier for customers and providing customer solutions and insights by conducting financial analysis, lending and administrative support for designated customer groups. The role is ideal for emerging staff with the potential to take on Relationship Management responsibilities.

As a Relationship Associate, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Understand customer portfolios, including their financial performance, goals, challenges, and value propositions.
  • Enhance the Bank’s profile by demonstrating an understanding of customer industries and associated markets.
  • Develop effective relationships and work collaboratively within the Business and across ANZ.
  • Work with Relationship Managers, Senior Managers, and product partners to develop and deliver appropriate customer solutions and resolve concerns.
  • Ensure the Bank’s standards of compliance and operational excellence are maintained.
  • Provide support through financial analysis and the interpretation of customer information to ensure accurate credit decisions are made at all times.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the Bank’s credit policies and requirements to support sound decision-making.

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Strong financial literacy, analytical skills, commercial acumen, and business insight.
  • Strong analytical ability to assess and interpret the implications of financial trends.
  • Prior experience building strong relationships in a customer delivery or customer experience role.
  • A sound understanding of the structuring of security arrangements.
  • Experience in the banking industry is advantageous but not essential.
  • Preferably, a degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, although this is not a strict requirement.
