Role Purpose:
The Relationship Manager will focus on improving relationships with elite clients while overseeing operational tasks and driving growth in liabilities, FX, and fees to surpass financial targets annually. Proactively identifying cross-selling opportunities to boost product revenue is crucial, alongside mitigating risks by maintaining extensive awareness of anti-money laundering regulations and compliance with UAE central bank policies.
Key Accountabilities of the role
Portfolio Growth and Financial Targets:
- Achieve assigned financial and non-financial objectives.
- Manage and grow the portfolio effectively, emphasizing increases in liabilities, FX, fees, and trade transactions while meeting overall financial targets.
- Ensure portfolio growth compared to the previous year.
- Identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities to enhance revenue streams.
- Implement strategies to maximize portfolio growth while minimizing risk, conducting regular SWOT analyses.
- Focus on cross-selling to increase product share per customer, maximizing revenue from the existing portfolio.
- Target high transactional and high-value balance companies for onboarding.
- Conduct regular visits and calls with clients to maintain rapport and identify new business opportunities.
- Report on portfolio activities, achievements, and challenges to management, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities and referrals from existing clients.
- Conduct financial assessments accurately to understand clients’ needs and risk tolerance.
- Identify and cultivate new business relationships with potential clients through networking and prospecting activities.
Client Relationship Management and Customer Service:
- Address customer complaints promptly and provide excellent service.
- Serve all clients with a particular focus on the elite
- Communicate regularly with clients to foster growth and satisfaction, addressing complaints promptly and providing excellent service.
- Utilize various communication channels to maintain strong client relationships, focusing on the elite segment.
- Enhance relationships with business banking customers, prioritizing the elite segment in financial and service aspects.
- Maintain professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions with clients and internal stakeholders
Portfolio Risk Monitoring:
- Maintain awareness of risk parameters including AML, compliance, and regulations.
- Provide necessary inquiries and documents to the compliance department.
- Identify and assess potential risks or suspicious activities.
- Monitor customer transactions for signs of risk or non-compliance.
- Conduct ongoing due diligence and update customer records accordingly.
- Review and update client profiles and risk ratings regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Professional Development and Adaptability:
- Stay updated on banking products, services, and industry trends.
- Participate in training and development opportunities.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4 years of banking or financial services experience, focusing on relationship management and portfolio growth.
- Excellent knowledge of business banking, trade products, and foreign exchange rates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in customer complaint resolution and service delivery.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams and adapt to changing needs.
