We are seeking an ambitious individual to join the Global Network Banking, UAE team as a Relationship Manager to support the growing business and achieve business objectives.  The Relationship Management role provides dedicated relationship management to a portfolio of multinational corporate customers with accountability for Sales, Risk/credit management, Service and operational delivery. This role will have internal and external stakeholders. Internal stakeholders may include Sales, Product Development, Credit Risk, Legal & Compliance teams. The remit may range from an area within a country or multiple countries. 

 

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of Corporate clients which are Headquartered outside of UAE with presence in UAE to provide solutions that meet the clients banking and treasury objectives.
  • Focus on growing the business sustainably, by identifying opportunities to expand a portfolio and broadening client relationships by leveraging HSBC's extensive network.
  • Drive revenue growth through understanding customer needs and by adopting a needs-based approach which engages clients and increases new business.
  • Collaborate with HSBC Group colleagues across various teams in coverage and product to deliver appropriate needs-based solutions for customers.
  • Build a strong understanding of the client's business and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomes.
  • Execute a robust growth plan to target new to bank relationships including all facets of originating and executing deals end to end.
  • Deepen understanding of the client through pro-active credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews.
  • Confidently manage financial crime risk throughout the client lifecycle by identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring, escalating and mitigating risk.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable operational risk HSBC Standards and policies, reporting any breaches in accordance with local procedures
  • Stay abreast of developments, products and offerings from HSBC, competitors and market changes
  • Ensure prompt escalation or sharing of relevant information relating to the client, so that members of the client coverage team can form and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the risks to HSBC by the client
  • Be required to acquire knowledge of product areas and in some geographies may need to hold specific certificates or need membership of a regulatory body 

 

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong experience in corporate banking as a Relationship Manager or Associate Relationship Manager managing/supporting international subsidiaries or MNCs in the UAE.
  • Strong credit and financial analytical skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge & understanding of economic trends and regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of key international corridors, driving growth in the UAE. Sector knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, negotiation, communication, teamwork and influencing skills.
  • Extensive knowledge and proven sales success with the Bank’s products and services, or equivalent
  • In-depth knowledge of regulations impacting the business and the lending and credit approval process.
  • Strong understanding of Investment Banking products, with the ability to identify opportunities.
  • A graduation degree is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. If your university certificate is from outside the UAE, up-to-date attestations and equivalency are also mandatory (Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications Issued Outside The UAE)
