Relieving General Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership role with Bupa Care Homes & Villages across New Zealand, based in Wellington with nationwide site rotations. You’ll oversee a combined care home and retirement village operation, drive sales, occupancy and financial targets, recruit and develop large teams, and ensure seamless, person-centred care while upholding quality, risk and safety standards. The ideal candidate has aged care experience in a business management role, is comfortable walking the floor, adapting leadership to different sites, and balancing commercial priorities with resident and family needs. This Relieving General Manager will ensure that person-centred care is always at the focus of what we do. You will be tasked with temporarily managing a care home & village site in a variety of assignments (from weeks to months), meeting commercial targets, and managing and developing your teams across each location. This is a full time, permanent position based in Wellington, where you will travel the country nationwide for various lengths of time at a particular site.
