AECOM is recruiting experienced defence, nuclear and major infrastructure professionals to support Australia’s growing defence capability, with relocation packages available and a focus on Adelaide, plus opportunities in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne depending on project needs. Roles span Maritime Structures, Building Structures NSQEP, Architects NSQEP, Design Managers NSQEP, Nuclear Systems Engineering, Quality & Assurance, Hydraulic, Fire Protection, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Ideal candidates will have defence or nuclear experience, NSQEP exposure, a relevant degree, and a track record delivering complex regulated programs, plus leadership and cross discipline collaboration. AUKUS clearance is advantageous. To apply, tailor your resume to NSQEP and defence, cite major projects, and note relocation readiness and sponsorship.
As Australia’s defence and nuclear capability continues to grow, we are looking to connect with experienced professionals from the UK who can bring their expertise to Australia.
Australia’s Defence Future
Australia is entering a significant period of investment in defence capability and infrastructure. The 2024 National Defence Strategy and Integrated Investment Program set out a long-term program to strengthen the Australian Defence Force and build the capabilities required to respond to an evolving strategic environment.
The AUKUS partnership, alongside Australia’s growing focus on nuclear-powered submarine capability and broader sovereign defence capability, is creating exciting opportunities for professionals with experience across defence, nuclear and major infrastructure programs.
