Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and technical support of Multi-Function Printers (MFPs), printers, scanners, and related document management equipment at customer sites. The position involves diagnosing hardware and software, carrying out corrective and preventive maintenance; replacing defective components and consumables; installing firmware and software; and configuring devices according to customer requirements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, configure, commission, and test new MFPs and printers at customer locations.
Conduct preventive maintenance
Diagnose and resolve Hardware and software related faults.
Analyze machine error codes and diagnostic information to identify root causes.
Repair and replace defective components, assemblies, and parts.
Install and update firmware, drivers, and Embedded software.
Attend breakdown/service calls and ensure timely resolution in line with agreed SLAs.
Conduct routine machine inspections and identify potential failures before they occur.
Maintain adequate control of assigned spare parts, consumables, tools, and equipment.
Record parts replaced and service activities accurately in the service management system.
Complete service reports, maintenance checklists, meter readings, and other required documentation.
Qualifications
Education
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
Additional Information
Experience
2–5 years of relevant experience in printer, MFP, copier, scanner, basic network troubleshooting and MPS Software.
Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of MFP/printer
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, network printing, and basic network troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Windows printing environments and printer drivers.
