MacKillop Family Services is hiring a part time Residential Care Worker for the Two Bed Emergency Response Homes in Ringwood. You’ll support daily unit operations, respond to the emotional and functional needs of young people in OOHC, help develop their personal skills, and manage administrative and household duties under the TBER Team Leader. Essential criteria include a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and OOHC or similar), a genuine interest in young people, empathy, and strong emotional self regulation with clear boundaries. In your application, address all Key Selection Criteria with concrete examples and ensure you have a valid Driver’s Licence, Working with Children Check, NDIS Screening and Criminal History Check. About the role
MacKillop’s Out of Home Care (OOHC) programs provide residential care, home based care, lead tenant and case management support for young people with high and complex needs, as well as a therapeutically oriented program for young people in protective placements.
Our Residential Services offers accommodation and support to children and young people who are referred through the Child Protection system. The Residential Care Worker is required to participate in the day-to-day operation of the unit, which includes responding to the young person’s emotional and functional needs, the development of their personal skills, all administrative requirements and household duties.
This is a Part Time opportunity based in Ringwood, VIC within our Two Bed Emergency Response Homes Program. The position reports to the TBER Team Leader.
