Persian Horizon is seeking an experienced Retail Pharmacy Manager / Superintendent Pharmacist to lead and manage one of the retail pharmacies within our healthcare portfolio in Dubai.
This role is designed for a senior retail pharmacist who is confident operating in a high-volume, customer-facing environment , while fully owning compliance, operations, team management, and store performance .
You will be responsible not only for safe dispensing and regulatory adherence, but also for ensuring the pharmacy runs smoothly, professionally, and profitably .
About the Role
This is a hands-on retail management role .
You will act as the responsible pharmacist for the branch, overseeing:
- Daily retail operations
- Staff performance
- Inventory and suppliers
- DHA compliance and inspections
- Customer experience
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with DHA and UAE pharmacy regulations
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, interactions, dosage, and contraindications
- Provide professional counseling for prescription and OTC medications
- Maintain SOPs, controlled drug handling, and audit readiness
Retail Operations
- Manage daily pharmacy operations, opening/closing procedures, and workflows
- Oversee stock ordering, storage, expiry control, and inventory accuracy
- Coordinate with suppliers, distributors, and internal procurement
- Monitor retail performance, stock turnover, margins, and wastage
Team Leadership
- Supervise pharmacists, assistants, and support staff
- Schedule shifts and ensure adequate staffing coverage
- Train staff on compliance, customer service, and retail best practices
- Maintain discipline, standards, and accountability on the shop floor
Customer Experience
- Ensure a professional, friendly, and compliant retail environment
- Handle escalations, customer feedback, and service quality issues
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation, and merchandising
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Valid DHA Pharmacist License (mandatory)
- 6–10 years of retail pharmacy experience in the UAE
- Previous experience as a Retail Pharmacy Manager, Superintendent Pharmacist, or Senior Pharmacist
- Strong knowledge of DHA inspections, UAE pharmacy laws, and retail pharmacy SOPs
- Confident people-management and operational decision-making skills
- Fluent English (Arabic is a strong advantage)
- Commercial awareness of retail pharmacy operations
