We currently have an opportunity for a Risk Reporting and Data Insights Analyst to join the RLAM 2nd line risk team on a permanent basis in London.

 

Reporting to the RLAM Head of Risk, the purpose of the role is to provide the business and governance committees with clear risk MI and trending analysis to allow decision making, ensuring reports/dashboards are accurate and timely and provide clear and concise risk data and commentary that is easily digestible.

 

This role offers broad exposure across RLAM and the Royal London Group. You’ll transform multiple data sources into clear dashboards and insights that inform executive decision‑making.

 

About the role

  • Assist in developing and maintaining dashboards, data visualisations and analytics for business stakeholders and the Risk & Compliance team.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly risk reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Provide MI on risk event trends and contribute to ICARA scenario inputs. Analyse risk and compliance data to produce statistics, charts and graphics for reporting.
  • Support second‑line reviews of Risk and Control Self Assessments and policy self‑assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate Archer system access for RLAM users and support testing of system developments.
  • Coordinate the annual policy attestation process and policy updates in line with the review schedule.
  • Provide general risk management support to the Head of Risk and help maintain effective 2nd line risk procedures.

 

About you

  • Good level of understanding of data visualisation techniques and tools, such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Excellent analytical skills including analysing trends.
  • Ability to interpret information and draw together the overall ‘big picture’.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Experience in a financial services environment and in Risk & Compliance function desirable.
  • Good knowledge of risk management is desirable.
