POSITION SUMMARY

RO (Reverse Osmosis Plant) & STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) Technician. 

The RO & STP Technician is responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment systems and Sewage Treatment Plants (STP). The role ensures continuous production of treated water and proper wastewater treatment in compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory standards. The technician conducts routine inspections, preventive maintenance, water quality testing, and equipment repairs to maintain efficient plant operations.

 

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

 

RO Plant Operations

  • Operate and monitor RO plant systems to ensure uninterrupted water production.
  • Monitor plant parameters.
  • Perform maintenance activities.
  • Inspect pumps, filters, valves, dosing systems, and control panels regularly.
  • Ensure proper chemical dosing for water treatment processes.
  • Conduct daily water quality testing and maintain operational records.
  • Troubleshoot RO system failures and coordinate repairs when required.

 

Sewage Treatment Plant Operations

  • Operate and monitor sewage treatment plant equipment and processes.
  • Check aeration systems, blowers, pumps, clarifiers, sludge handling systems, and dosing units.
  • Monitor and maintain wastewater treatment parameters.
  • Ensure treated effluent meets environmental and regulatory standards.
  • Perform routine operational checks.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, equipment malfunctions, and process abnormalities.
  • Maintain accurate operational and maintenance logs.

 

Maintenance Duties

  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of all RO and STP equipment.
  • Inspect electrical and mechanical components for wear and damage.
  • Replace filters, membranes, pumps, seals, bearings, and other consumables as required.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs and servicing.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of spare parts and treatment chemicals.

 

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladder. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.

Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

License or Certification: None
