Apera AI is hiring a Robotic Solutions Engineer in Vancouver for a hands-on role that bridges AI vision software with automation. You’ll design and deploy 4D Vision robotics for bin picking and sorting; troubleshoot integrations; and collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate insights into scalable improvements. You’ll document setups and mentor teammates while leading optimization projects. Requirements: at least five years in robotics or automation, a degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, or systems engineering, and comfort with robot programming on FANUC, ABB, KUKA, UR or Yaskawa. Bonus for AI vision experience. Compensation CAD 100k–130k plus stock options and benefits, with autonomy. To apply, share deployment examples that show cross-functional collaboration and impact.
We are an innovative, Vancouver-based startup at the forefront of robotics, AI, and machine vision technologies. Backed by VC funding and we’ve been recognized with the 2025 Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation Leadership Award, the AAM Supplier Excellence Innovation Award, and the 2024 BC Tech “Company of the Year – Growth”, we are on a mission to redefine the future of AI-driven robotic vision systems. Apera AI helps manufacturers make their factories more flexible and productive. Robots enhanced with Apera’s software have 4D Vision – the ability to see and handle objects with human-like capability. Challenging applications such as bin picking, sorting, packaging, and assembly are now open to fast, precise, and reliable automation. Apera is led by an experienced team from high-growth companies focused on robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing.
Let’s End Robot Blindness. Together.
Robots can do amazing things, if they can see. Apera AI builds breakthrough 4D Vision™ systems that give robots the clarity to handle complex, real-world tasks. But technology alone doesn’t make transformation happen - people do. That’s where you come in.
We’re hiring a Robotic Solutions Engineer (RSE) to bridge the gap between AI vision software and the hardest real-world automation applications; someone who thrives on solving tough technical problems and seeing their work come alive in motion.
This is a hands-on engineering role - not theory. You’ll design robotic vision solutions, troubleshoot complex integrations, and work with our field team to help robots see, learn, and perform at scale.
