Flynn Group of Companies is hiring for Journeyman and Foreman roofers to work full time onsite in Calgary installing, repairing, or replacing commercial roofing systems such as TPO, EPDM and PVC, plus vapor barriers and insulation on flat roofs. Day to day tasks include cutting roofing paper, nailing or stapling in overlapping strips, and coordinating installations for industrial, institutional, and commercial buildings. The foreman path emphasizes leadership and safety oversight; the journeyman path focuses on high quality workmanship. Summary: Install, repair, or replace four and/or single-ply commercial roofing systems, using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic composition on various sectors including but not limited to industrial, institutional and commercial buildings

Daily responsibilities:•Install or replace a variety of commercial roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, and PVC•Install vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs and seal the seams•Cut roofing paper to size using knives; and nail or staple roofing paper to roofs in overlapping strips to form bases for other materials
