About the Role

As a Room Attendant, you'll play an important part in creating memorable experiences for our guests. Every room you prepare contributes to the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of our guests' stay.

Working as part of a friendly and dedicated team, you'll be responsible for maintaining the high presentation standards expected across both Novotel and Ibis Rotorua Lakeside.

Job Description

What You'll Be Doing

  • Cleaning and servicing guest rooms to Accor brand standards.

  • Refreshing bathrooms, bedrooms, and public areas with care and attention to detail.

  • Replenishing guest amenities and ensuring rooms are beautifully presented.

  • Identifying and reporting maintenance or safety concerns.

  • Handling guest requests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.

  • Following hotel health, safety, and hygiene procedures.

  • Working collaboratively with the wider Housekeeping and Rooms Division teams.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

You'll be someone who:

  • Takes pride in delivering high-quality work.

  • Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.

  • Has excellent attention to detail.

  • Is reliable, punctual, and organised.

  • Enjoys providing exceptional customer service.

  • Is physically fit and able to undertake a hands-on role.

  • Are comfortable working weekends, public holidays, and on a rotating roster.

  • Previous housekeeping experience is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster across seven days, including weekends and public holidays, as required. 

  • Must have New Zealand citizenship or Permanent Residency
