EBC is continuously recruiting Safety Advisors to support health and safety on construction sites, working full-time on site in Montréal and other locations. The role centers on preventing accidents, acting as the safety expert on site, welcoming workers and briefing them on site risks, enforcing the safety management program, documenting daily activities and incidents, investigating accidents, coordinating visitor safety, and upholding Safe Work Policies while tailoring work methods to each worker. Requirements include at least five years of relevant experience, solid knowledge of OHS laws, a valid first aid certificate, strong MS Office skills, tech comfort, and bilingual English/French. Health and Safety :
In order to continue meeting our
needs in a growth environment, EBC is looking for safety advisors who
will be responsible for ensuring that safety measures are taken to
protect the health and safety of every day-to-day worker on the
construction site.
Responsibilities
-
plan, organize and coordinate all activities related to the prevention of accidents and occupational injuries on site;

act as a resource person for health and safety at work;
-
be responsible for welcoming workers to the site and ensure that every worker knows the risks specific to his work;
-
ensure the application and monitoring of the health and safety management program on site;
-
promptly complete computerized daily reports and their related
sub-files by inserting the necessary documentation (ie. daily
interventions, number of workers, accidents, disciplinary measures,
etc.);

intervene when there is a risk of accident and follow up with the investigation following an accident or a major incident;

plan and ensure the safety of visitors on site;
-
enforce EBC’s Safe Work Policies;
-
discuss work methods with the workers, in relation to the work to be done and according to the profile of the worker.
Conditions
Requirements
-
relevant experience of at least 5 years;

knowledge of OHS legislation and regulations;

holds a valid first aid certificate;

mastery of the Microsoft Office suite;

comfortable with technology;

biligualism (English and French).
