AgriWest, in partnership with Nutrien Ag Solutions, is seeking a full‑time Sales Support Merchandise Storeperson in Cooma to help run a busy branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll support customers from farmers to trade accounts, manage stock control, ordering, receipting and dispatching, assist with pricing questions and counter sales, and help loading and unloading deliveries. The ideal candidate brings customer service or warehousing experience, a proactive can‑do attitude, strong communication, attention to detail, and solid computer skills. A current driver’s licence is essential, forklift licence desirable. You’ll join a supportive team with training and competitive pay. What You'll Do:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll play an important role in supporting the overall success of the branch. You’ll build strong relationships with a wide range of customers - from local farmers and producers to trade customers - while bringing a positive, can‑do attitude to everything you do. You’ll support the branch by:  

 

  • Providing support and advice to customers  
  • Performing day-to-day administrative tasks including stock control, ordering, receipting, and dispatching of goods 
  • Assisting customers with pricing and product queries    
  • Processing counter sales  
  • Assisting with merchandise campaign material  
  • Manage stock and pick and pack customer orders  
  • On farm deliveries when required 
  • Maintaining a welcoming, friendly, and well-presented store environment 
  • Loading and unloading trucks, dispatching, and unpacking orders and deliveries 
  • Supporting the team wherever needed to help keep the branch running smoothly 

What You'll Bring:

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring previous experience in a team support or customer‑focused role within a busy environment. You’ll have a genuine interest in Australian farming and agriculture, with knowledge of animal health and rural merchandise highly regarded. 

 

  • Experience working in a sales, customer service or warehousing environment  
  • An energetic, can‑do attitude with initiative and a practical problem‑solving approach  
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to build long‑term customer relationships  
  • A proactive mindset with good organisational skills  
  • Excellent attention to detail  
  • The ability to handle customer enquiries with empathy and confidence  
  • An interest in identifying opportunities to improve internal sales and branch processes  
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook  
  • A current driver’s licence (essential) 
  • Forklift licence (desirable)
