The Role
This key role will play a significant part in enabling operational excellence across the business by leading our planning, scheduling and resource management function.
As Scheduler & Planner lead, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an integrated business-wide planning framework that aligns workforce, plant, equipment and project resources with operational priorities and client commitments. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Project Delivery and Clients, you will provide critical visibility of resource capacity, future demand and delivery requirements.
You will influence business performance through effective workforce planning, resource optimisation and data-driven decision making, ensuring MB Century has the right people and equipment in the right place at the right time.
In addition, you'll:
Lead the development and management of the integrated business-wide master schedule
Drive workforce planning, resource forecasting and capacity management across workshop, field services and project delivery teams
Partner with operational leaders to optimise labour, contractor and plant utilisation
Identify resource constraints, delivery risks and future capability requirements
Facilitate planning and scheduling meetings to align operational priorities and workloads
Develop and maintain planning dashboards, utilisation reporting and performance metrics
Support project mobilisation and resource planning activities across multiple workstreams
Oversee contractor coordination and resource engagement processes
Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning accuracy and operational efficiency
Act as the business owner for planning and scheduling systems and processes
Provide analysis and recommendations to support operational and commercial decision making
Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders to support successful project and service delivery
About You
You are an experienced planning and scheduling professional with a strong understanding of workforce optimisation, resource management and operational delivery within industrial, maintenance, engineering or project environments.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving complex resource challenges while working collaboratively with operational teams and stakeholders. Commercially aware and highly organised, you're known for your ability to see the bigger picture while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
You'll also bring:
Proven experience in planning, scheduling, resource management or operational coordination
Strong capability in workforce forecasting, capacity planning and resource optimisation
Experience working within industrial, engineering, manufacturing, energy or project delivery environments
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong commercial and operational acumen
Experience using workforce planning, scheduling and reporting systems
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
Strong communication and influencing abilities
Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capability
Experience with ERP, resource planning or asset management systems (
