Purpose of the Job

To manage and coordinate end-to-end Sea Freight shipments, ensuring timely and efficient execution while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with local and international regulations. Coordinate effectively with customers, shipping lines, agents, service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment handling, accurate documentation, and timely updates throughout the shipment cycle.

 

Job Description

  • Handle end-to-end Sea Freight shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and smooth execution.
  • Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, agents, service providers, and internal teams throughout the shipment cycle.
  • Handle Sea Freight enquiries, quotations, bookings, and operational requirements.
  • Ensure all required shipping documents are accurate, complete, and processed on time.
  • Monitor shipment milestones and proactively follow up on delays, exceptions, or operational issues.
  • Keep customers regularly updated on shipment status and provide timely support for their enquiries.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Pricing teams on quotations and customer requirements.
  • Obtain and compare competitive rates from shipping lines, agents, and service providers.
  • Support customers with claims, shipment delays, documentation issues, and other operational concerns.
  • Ensure accurate and timely shipment and milestone updates in CargoWise.
  • Follow up on job costing, invoicing, and closure of completed shipments.
  • Maintain accurate operational reports and shipment records.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable local and international Sea Freight regulations.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with customers, shipping lines, agents, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.

 

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in Sea Freight, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Operations is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of Sea Freight operations, shipping documentation, shipping lines, and freight forwarding processes.
  • Understanding of local and international shipping requirements and regulations.
  • Customer service and operational coordination experience.
  • Experience with CargoWise is preferred.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
