Summary

The position is responsible for managing the overall Pirelli’s security operations for the company in the Middle-Est, Africa and Indica (MEAI) Region, in coordination with the Group’s Global Security Department.

 

Reporting hierarchically to the local Chief Executive Officer and functionally to Global Pirelli’s Security Director, the individual will be stationed in Dubai, Pirelli’s Head Office for the Region, and will oversee the security initiatives dedicated to the company’s commercial, production and logistic operations as well as to the company human resources.

 

This includes responsibility over the following countries:

 

  • Pirelli’s Headquarter office for the region in the UAE.
  • Pirelli’s production and overall operations in Saudi Arabia.
  • Pirelli’s commercial subsidiaries in South Africa, India and commercial operations across all the Region.

 

The role is crucial in enhancing the organization's ability to mitigate risks and respond effectively to incidents and losses that may affect personnel or impact on the company assets and operations.

 

It requires the professional in charge to promote effective liaison and collaboration with various internal functions and external stakeholders, including law enforcement authorities and institutions ensuring that security operations adhere to the highest national and international industry standards, promoting a culture of security throughout the organization.

 

In addition, the role involves managing security staff and technological infrastructure, systems and protocols that support initiatives related to security intelligence, threat and risk assessments, physical security, executive protection, travel security and incident management, fraud investigation, due diligence and security training.

 

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 10+ years of proven Corporate Security experience in the industrial or production sectors.

 

  • Military or Police background – Mandatory requirement.  

 

  • Fluency in both Arabic and English – Mandatory requirement.

 

  • Soft skills:
    • Ability to work with operational autonomy, managing priorities and working in a team.
    • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with attention to details.
    • Availability for domestic and international business travel.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

 

Attributions and Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and implement Pirelli's Security Management System, operation, policies, and risk mitigation initiatives for the region.
  • Conduct threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments related to facilities, personnel, business operations, and supply chain activities.
  • Manage physical security programs including guarding services, access control, surveillance systems, and security technologies.
  • Coordinate security intelligence activities and provide timely reporting on emerging threats and security trends affecting the region.
  • Support the protection of expatriates, executives, and international travelers through dedicated security programs.
  • Manage security incidents, investigations, crisis response, and business continuity activities.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with local law enforcement agencies, government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external security providers.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, HR, Legal, Manufacturing, Procurement, and other business functions to ensure a comprehensive approach to security risk management.
  • Support logistics security initiatives aimed at protecting inbound, outbound, and domestic transportation flows.
  • Deliver security awareness programs and training activities to promote a strong security culture throughout the organization.
  • Monitor compliance with corporate security standards and best international practices.
