Four casual Seed Analyst roles are available at AsureQuality’s Palmerston North Seed Laboratory, the largest seed testing facility in the Southern Hemisphere. You’ll perform germination tests, support seed identification and purity analysis, and ensure methods are followed as part of a busy team. Successful candidates are calm under pressure, highly organised, and pay meticulous attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills. Lab experience helps but is not required because full training is provided. The opportunity:
We have four casual Seed Analyst roles available within our Seed Laboratory based in Palmerston North. This site is the largest seed testing facility in the Southern Hemisphere and undertakes seed identification, purity analysis and germination testing on a wide range of seeds.
As a Seed Analyst, you will do germination testing of seed samples submitted by customers, ensuring adherence to correct methodologies. The role will involve working with laboratory staff to ensure all requirements are maintained.
These are casual positions to help during our busy period.
About you:
You will have the ability to work well under pressure in a busy role, be well organised and have great attention to detail. Your written and verbal communication skills are immaculate, and your interpersonal skills are second to none.
In order to thrive in this position you will have a strong drive for success and enjoy working in a team environment. Plus you will have excellent communication skills, able to demonstrate initiative and be self- motivated.
Previous laboratory experience is advantageous but not necessary and full training will be provided.
