Job Description
The Senior Account Manager – BFSI will manage strategic client relationships within the banking, financial services and insurance sector, drive business growth through upsell/cross-sell opportunities and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. The role will require a strong understanding of BFSI client challenges, IT/digital solutions (cloud, security, outsourcing), and the ability to operate at senior stakeholder levels.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as main point of contact for designated BFSI accounts: build, maintain and deepen strong relationships with C-level and senior stakeholders in banks, insurance companies, fin-techs and other financial institutions.
- Develop and execute account plans aligned with annual targets, client goals and CNS’s solution portfolio.
- Identify and drive new business opportunities (upselling, cross-selling) within existing accounts and pursue new accounts in the BFSI vertical.
- Manage full sales lifecycle: from opportunity identification, solution design (in partnership with pre-sales/solution architects), proposal, negotiation to contract closure.
- Collaborate with pre-sales, delivery, service operations, finance and contract teams to ensure smooth implementation, billing and support for clients.
- Monitor account health, report on performance, pipeline, risks and opportunities, and provide regular updates to senior sales leadership.
- Understand market dynamics, competitor activity and BFSI industry trends to position CNS solutions competitively.
- Ensure high client satisfaction and retention by proactively managing escalations, service delivery issues and evolving client needs.
- Maintain accurate data in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and ensure adherence to internal processes and standards.
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry events and contribute to thought leadership in the BFSI space.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field eg computer science.
- MBA studies preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in account management in the UAE, client relationship management or sales, with significant exposure to BFSI clients (banks/insurance/fintech) and/or technology solutions sold into BFSI.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills; ability to engage senior stakeholders and build trusted advisor relationships.
- Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen and ability to develop account plans and deliver results.
- Experience working with CRM systems, pipeline management, forecasting and reporting.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (pre-sales, delivery, finance) and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Self-driven, results-oriented and able to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills would be advantageous.
- Experience and knowledge within the UAE Banking market.
