Ali & Sons Holding LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead onsite accounting in the UAE, supervising teams, fixed asset accounting, related-party reconciliations, and monthly to year-end consolidation under IFRS. You will ensure accurate records, strong internal controls, bank reconciliations, and timely financial reporting while supporting external audits and the Chief Accountant. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting, a CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent, 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, SAP and strong Excel skills, and English fluency with Arabic a plus. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising functional accounting teams and provide guidance on daily accounting operations.
- Manage and monitor fixed asset accounting, ensuring accurate records and timely reconciliations.
- Perform reconciliation of related-party balances and resolve outstanding discrepancies.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end consolidation accounting activities.
- Support compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal accounting policies.
- Ensure accounting transactions are accurately recorded and maintained within the accounting system.
- Maintain complete and accurate financial and accounting records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Recommend best practices to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
- Monitor company bank accounts and banking facilities, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation.
- Prepare and support timely financial reports, schedules, and management reports.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide the required documentation during audits.
- Support the Chief Accountant and Group Deputy CFO with financial analysis and special projects as required.
- Ensure all accounting activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established deadlines.
- Contribute to the achievement of the Finance Department's objectives and the company's strategic goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent is required.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or related business environment.
- Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, fixed assets, and consolidation accounting is preferred.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and other accounting software.
- Solid understanding of IFRS and accounting best practices.
