AD Ports Group is seeking a Senior Accountant General Ledger to lead the GL and month end close for the EC&FZ cluster, ensure IFRS compliance, support statutory audits, manage COA governance, and assist with Oracle implementation. Assist the line manager in supervising the general ledger and month end closing ensuring that it complies with all applicable accounting standards. Provide support in statutory audit coordination, technical IFRS accounting, Chart of Accounts, and Oracle implementation.
Assist with the month end closing financial activity of the EC&FZ cluster, analyze financial results and liaise with finance colleagues with execution for accuracy and completeness.
Provide the necessary support in the general ledger process, including recording, processing, and reporting of financial transactions.
Handle chart of accounts for EC&FZ related change/addition approvals.
Assist with EC&FZ Oracle technical matters; New implementation/amendments.
Contribute to reviewing impact of changes in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to the financial results of the cluster and reviewing compliance with that in accounting practices.
Track, maintain and keep the general ledger accurate and up to date while complying with all applicable accounting standards.
Prepare financial statements to management.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or any relevant. Master’s degree is a plus.
Chartered accountancy or suitable accounting qualification is essential (CPA or CFA)
A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a similar role
Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage
